Every article starts from a real news story published by NHK, Mainichi, BBC, The Verge, or a similar outlet. AI rewrites it at several difficulty levels and adds translations, vocabulary, grammar notes, and a text-to-speech recording. No human reads it aloud.

It isn't a translation of the original, so treat it as study material. If a detail matters to you, go and read the source.

Email me the article's title and date, and a screenshot if you have one. Mistakes in the rewritten text get fixed.

On the website, Latest and Saved pages you've visited can reopen without a connection. The 30 article and explanation-language versions you've opened most recently also stay available; each language version counts separately. A listed article still needs to have been opened before you can read it offline. Audio streams, so that still needs one.

The website stores bookmarks, preferences, visited Latest and Saved pages, and up to 30 recently opened article versions in your browser. Clear Yori News site data in your browser to remove them. In the app, downloaded articles and translations can be cleared under Settings; bookmarks are kept.
