〜という= used to define or introduce something by name ('called...', 'known as...')めったに〜ない= rarely; seldom; hardly ever (used with negative verb forms)

〜を防ぐために= in order to prevent (used to express the purpose of an action)〜のほか= besides; in addition to; as well as

〜仕組みになっている= is designed or structured to (do something)衝撃に強い= resistant to impact; shockproof

〜によって= through; by means of; due to (indicates cause or method)〜ということです= it is said that...; the report concludes that...

  • •The term 'bird strike' (バードストライク) refers to a collision between an airborne animal (usually a bird) and a vehicle, particularly an aircraft.
  • •Modern twin-engine and multi-engine passenger airliners are engineered and certified to safely continue flying and landing even if one engine experiences total failure during flight.
