Real Madrid star Vinicius Junior received a red card on Saturday after pulling an opponent's hair. The Brazilian soccer player thought he scored a goal against Villarreal. However, a video review took the goal away and sent him off the field.
Vinicius started the game on the bench and entered as a substitute. Real Madrid was already winning 1-0 after a goal from Yan Diomande. Teammate Jude Bellingham passed the ball to Vinicius, and Vinicius kicked it into the net.
However, the referee watched a video replay of the play. The video showed that Vinicius pulled the hair of Villarreal player Nathan Saliba before the goal. The referee cancelled the goal. He then showed Vinicius a red card, meaning Vinicius had to leave the game.
Real Madrid had to finish the match with only 10 players. Even with one less player, the team defended well and won the match 1-0.
