Spain's national football team beat England 3-2 in an exciting Nations League match at Wembley Stadium on Saturday. After falling behind in the first half, Spain fought back to win the game. The victory extended Spain's unbeaten streak to 39 matches, which is a record for any European national team.
The match started fast when teenager Lamine Yamal scored for Spain in the second minute after taking advantage of a mistake by defender Marc Guehi. However, England quickly responded. Anthony Gordon scored an equalizer after a pass from Jude Bellingham, and captain Harry Kane later scored a header to put England ahead 2-1 before halftime.
England had a major chance to increase their lead early in the second half when they were awarded a penalty kick—a free shot at goal given after a defensive foul in the penalty area. However, Kane slipped as he took the shot, and the ball hit the crossbar.
Spain took full advantage of the missed penalty. Substitute Alex Baena scored to equalize at 2-2 after England lost possession of the ball. A few minutes later, Baena passed to Mikel Oyarzabal, who scored the winning goal by lifting the ball over England's goalkeeper.
